Weiner was appointed to this position at Danfords in Port Jefferson in 2006, repositioning it as an upscale luxury boutique hotel and developing a new restaurant concept and upscale lounge. Weiner was responsible for all phases of Danford’s $7 million renovation including hiring interior designers, architects, contractors, purchasers and installers for 86 rooms, its restaurant and lounge and public space. Since completing the renovation in May 2008, Danford’s revenue has increased more than 12 percent. Weiner previously was general manager and area manager for Hostmark Hospitality Group and Benchmark Hospitality International.
