A landmark destination has been transformed and renewed, unveiling an eclectic feast for the senses. Against the backdrop of Long Island’s magnificent North Shore, in the picturesque hamlet of Port Jefferson rises a new and unique way to gather.
"Wave is the new restaurant and lounge that best defines the multi-million dollar transformation and revitalization of Danfords Hotel and Marina", states Danfords Executive Director Stewart Weiner. A unique blend of old world charm, architecture and culinary innovation, Wave features a contemporary nautical theme highlighted by the New American mastery of executive chef Paul Govin.
"The new gathering places for discerning Long Islander’s who want to enjoy a night out are restaurants and lounges", says Food & Beverage Director Roy Feicco. "A kind of all-in-one social forum where one can meet a friend, enjoy a cocktail or join associates for a small business dinner. Our goal was to fill that void in Port Jefferson by creating a non-pretentious environment that is welcoming and exciting at the same time."
Through the direction of chief designer Dante Paganini, a journey through time unfolds and culminates with an awe inspiring and modern interpretation of a true New England eatery. Deep chocolate brown banquets accented by teal piping sit along side custom fitted water walls allowing for a soothing feeling of freedom in the lounge. A sparkling baby grand piano sits unassuming and provides a cultural appeal on those cool and inspiring evenings.
Step down into the dining room at Wave and immediately discover the panoramic views of the harbor. The seemingly endless height of the ceilings creates a regal environment that is softened by tables adorned with white and beige accented by candles of blue azure.
