Meet the Dockmaster.

A Long Islander who's spent virtually his entire life on the water, Danfords Dockmaster and Marina Manager, Brian Lauther, can be a boater's best friend.

Charged with managing the dock as well as serving as a source of information and assistance to Danfords' boating guests, Brian and his team are not only experts in docking each arriving boat in its proper slip, but also in ensuring that each boater's experience here is a great one.

Brian, who assumed the Dockmaster role at Danfords in 2005, is a licensed captain and diver who brings more than 15 years' experience in boating and marine operations to our guests. He provides a full range of personal services, from sharing his in-depth knowledge of Port Jefferson Harbor with our guests and helping to arrange any needed maintenance with local mechanics to helping boaters chart the best course for their next destination. He and his team also monitor VHF Channel 9.
